The plan is to drive up to East-Jotunheimen on Friday afternoon to a cabin there, located just off Hindsæter Mountain Hotel. Saturday morning we drive the 20-minute trip over to Valdresflya and there we will start the trip up to Tjørnholstind (2330m) (West and East, or Steinflytinden for those who prefer) via Høydebråte (2226m). On the return we get with us Tjørnholsoksle (2145m), the fourth 2000meter peak that day (for those counting).
I would dare to say that this trip is quite superior when it comes to experience what the mountains of the East Jotunheimens has to offer. It should be noted that the edge between Easter and Western Tjørnholstind is somewhat airy, and you must have experience with mountaintrips on skies to join the trip.
Back at the cabin we will make a good dinner, fire up the sauna and enjoy our selfs in front of the fireplace while we talk about today's achievements, new opportunities and old triumphs. Sunday, we take as it comes. Opportunities for Nautgaardstind, but we don’t feel like a longer trip we can, for example, go to Besseggen (fun skipeak) or another small local peak.
